Choosing a location to capture a simple GPS reading on June 21st should be easy for any professional land surveyor. You could choose a location near your home or office, some known control point in your geographic area or even at the jobsite you happen to be working at noon. There are millions of control points around planet earth to choose from. With over 1500 registered surveyors already locked in to participate in Survey Earth in a Day 2.0, it's time to start discussing the process of recording and submitting GPS data for the event.
Next week, we will start live hangout sessions inside the Google+ Community to discuss strategies and requirements for the big day!

In this group, you can also schedule hangouts to share your thoughts live and on video.
